The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Call for Nominations for Career Award

The Psychonomic Society Early Career Award annually honors the distinguished research accomplishments of our early career members and fellows. Each year, up to four awardees will be named. One nominee, whose research is closest to the areas of perception and attention, will receive the Steven Yantis Early Career Award.

2017 Summer Institute on Bounded Rationality

We are delighted to announce that the 2017 Summer Institute on Bounded Rationality will take place on June 6th–14th, 2017, at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany. The Summer Institute brings together talented young researchers and renowned scientists from around the globe and aims to spark a dialogue on human decision making.

Test Development Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Center for Autism Research at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is looking to hire a postdoc to help with an IQ test development project. This would be a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in psychometrics, item response theory, and computer adaptive testing to develop a tool for use in a clinical setting to help individuals with neuropsychological disorders. Opportunities and resources are available to develop other online measures and to analyze existing measurement data as well.
