The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

JMP Special Issue on Quantum Probability

The Journal of Mathematical Psychology will publish a special issue on the topic “Quantum Probability and Contextuality in Psychology and Economics." The submissions sought for peer-review can be on the use of quantum-theory-related themes and formalisms (including quantum probability and  contextuality analysis) in any area of behavioral and social sciences and economics. The expected submissions will range from theoretical or philosophical issues to experimental work. Postdoctoral Position in Cognitive Psychology

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Fellow (Cognitive Psychology) in the School of Psychology at UNSW. The successful applicant will undertake work on experimental and cognitive modelling approaches to the study of decision making. The research is funded by an Australian Research Council Grant held jointly by Professor Ben Newell (School of Psychology, University of New South Wales, Sydney) and Dr Don van Ravenzwaaij (University of Newcastle, Australia).
