The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Open-Rank Position in Quantitative Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The primary criterion for appointment is excellence in research and teaching.  We are especially interested in candidates whose research program contributes to the development of new quantitative methods. JMP Special Issue on Quantum Probability

The Journal of Mathematical Psychology will publish a special issue on the topic “Quantum Probability and Contextuality in Psychology and Economics." The submissions sought for peer-review can be on the use of quantum-theory-related themes and formalisms (including quantum probability and  contextuality analysis) in any area of behavioral and social sciences and economics. The expected submissions will range from theoretical or philosophical issues to experimental work.
