The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

Topic: Choosing How Best to Choose: Antecedent Volition and Decision ProcessĀ Representation in Discrete Choice Models

Antecedent volition (AV) refers to higher-level decision processes that direct evaluative and selection processes; these include such diverse phenomena as what goals to activate and pursue, what information to use, what products to eliminate and what decision rule(s) to employ to support identification of the preferred alternative in a decision instance.

An extended abstract (600 words including title, authors and abstract; word or pdf document) should be submitted directly via email to the Guest Editors by the enclosed dates. On the basis of the abstract the GEs will invite submission of the paper.

Australian MathPsych 2014

This is the first call for abstracts and/or proposals for workshops or tutorials for the Australian Mathematical Psychology Conference, 2014.
The conference will take place at the ANU onĀ 12-14 February, with workshops and/or tutorials on the 12th and the conference on the 13th and 14th.
