The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

The Measurement, Statistics and Evaluation (EDMS) program in the Department of Human Development and Quantitative Methodology (HDQM) in the College of Education at the University of Maryland, College Park, is seeking applications for a faculty appointment at the advanced Assistant Professor to advanced Associate Professor level starting August 2014. Qualifications include an earned doctorate in an appropriate field, exceptionally strong background in quantitative methods as applied in the education, social, behavioral, and biological sciences, evidence of outstanding scholarly research, interest in participating in collaborative research projects, as well as graduate and, perhaps, undergraduate teaching.
