The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The official journals of the society are Journal of Mathematical Psychology and Computational Brain & Behavior.

The Society for Mathematical Psychology (SMP) seeks applicants for the position of the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of its flagship journal, Journal of Mathematical Psychology (JMP, Applicants should be respected leaders in the community and have an established record of scholarship in mathematical psychology. The new EIC will serve a 5-year term, beginning July 1, 2018.

Applications should include a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and a brief statement (max 500 words) describing one’s vision for JMP.
