The Society for Mathematical Psychology promotes the advancement and communication of research in mathematical psychology and related disciplines. Mathematical psychology is broadly defined to include work of a theoretical character that uses mathematical methods, formal logic, or computer simulation. The Society journal is the Journal of Mathematical Psychology.

The 51st Annual Meeting of the Society for Mathematical Psychology will take place at the University of Wisconsin from July 21st - 24th.

The Annual Meeting of the Cognitive Science Society will be held immediately after MathPsych in London from July 25h - 28th.


The Society for Mathematical Psychology is hosting the Computation Approaches to Cognition Symposium, co-located with Psychonomics in Vancouver, on November 17th. Details from that meeting can be found here:


The Australian Mathematical Psychology Conference will be held in Perth next year from 13-15th February 2018. The current plan is that we have workshops on the 13th followed by the conference on the 14th and 15th of February.  We will keep the website up-to-date with information on how to register and submit an abstract, so please check back for updates.
